About the facility

Karađorđevo is located in the southwestern part of Bačka, 50 kilometers from Novi Sad. "Karađorđevo" was founded in 1885 as a state property of Austro-Hungarian Empire, and horse farm within the famous Hungarian stable "Mezchegues". Due to the presence of rare plants and animal species, one part of Karađorđevo is protected as a Special nature reservation. Thanks to the lush forests of oak, acacia and willow, which contain many large and small wild game with high trophy value, hunting ground "Karađorđevo" attracts many hunters from the country and abroad. The most prevalent types of hunting animals include deer, wild boar, roe deer, mouflon, pheasant, rabbit, wild goose, wild duck and others. Hunting Ground "Karađorđevo" provides an opportunity for hunting, specific for each type of wild game, and for this purpose are available hunter’s carriages, sleds, boats, ATVs (all terrain vehicles) and other equipment. For many years, hunting ground "Karađorđevo" was dominating in the organized hunting of pheasants, which resulted in the establishment of the pleasant farm "Vranjak", one of the most modern in the country. Besides hunting, guests is offered the possibility to visit the famous horse farm with the museum, whose showcases are adorned with trophies from many racetracks, horse riding in the countryside, carriage rides, a tour of the fortress Bač and monastery Bođani, a picnic in the center "Vranjak" and other programs. On the banks of the Danube River and its branches there is a possibility of sport fishing of carp, perch and catfish. Throughout the year, guests have access to hunting house "Dijana", a hunting center "Vranjak" and restaurant "Karađorđevo". Hunting house "Dijana", the most exclusive facility of resort, is located in the hunting area, 7 km from "Karađorđevo". It has comfortable accommodation, wine cellar and bar. In its composition has 7 rooms and 2 suites. The total number of beds is 16. Rooms have a private bathroom, except triple-bed rooms, which have shared bathroom. Guests can use the dining hall (20 seats), lounge (10 seats), wine tavern, terrace (8 seats) and the summer house for 30 people. Hunting center "Vranjak" is located in the forest of the same name, on the road Bačka Palanka- Bač, at the edge of hunting ground. It is consisted of two bungalows, each bungalow has two two-bed rooms on the top floor and a shared living room, kitchenette and bathroom on the ground floor. The total number of beds is 8. In addition to bungalows there is a restaurant "Vranjak", which has a hall with 90 seats and an outdoor terrace with 40 seats. It is suitable for business lunches, seminars and celebrations. Restaurant "Karađorđevo" offers a variety of dishes from Vojvodina cuisine with specialties such as venison, fish, and other healthy food from the selection of the Military Institution "Karađorđevo".
