About the facility
Family Šopalović from Mačkat, known for preparing traditional dishes of Zlatibor since 1928. when the first restaurant of Šopalović family was opened. Today, the tradition continues trough the national House Bajo - Mačkat, owner Blagoje Šopalović - Baja. Excellent lamb roast is a trademark of the restaurant. Baja barbecue in the center of the village is widely known, also the enterprising owner built the magnificent new building which is the culmination of restaurant services in this region. Restaurant impresses with its size and the interiior: leather furniture in the foyer, solid wood tables, stone walls and a large covered terrace with a beautiful view of the peaks of Zlatibor mountain. After lunch you can walk around beautiful nature or relax in a beautiful wooden bungalows which are part of the National House bid and hospitable family Šopalović. Bajo wooden bungalows are located in Mačkat, next to the famous National House Bajo Mačkat. Guests have 5 separate apartments available, three studio apartments and two duplex apartments. All apartments are fully equipped for your comfortable stay in them, thy can accommodate from 2 to 6 people. Guests can enjoy in the beautiful surroundings of Zlatibor village, and there is a possibility to arrange accommodation with breakfast.
ATRAKCIJE
Mačkat is located 16 km from the center of Zlatibor mountain. Lush nature of Mokra Gora (surrounded with valleys and gorges of the White and the Black Rzav and the Kamiška River) merges the spirit of old times and modern era: the old “Šargan Eight” railway, Emir Kusturica’s ethno-village “Drvengrad” and a modern ski center with artificial snow cannons. Pršutijada - Serbian traditional delicatessen fair competition, which is held every year in January in the village Mačkat between Uzice and Zlatibor.
