Museum of the Serbian Orthodox Church

Museum of the Serbian Orthodox Church was founded in 1954. It is located in the building of the Patriarchate, built in 1935 by architect Victor Lukomski, in which is placed the supreme governing body of the Serbian Orthodox Church. 


The permanent exhibition traces the development of the church, ecclesiastical art and culture of the XII century until today. Exhibited are icons, church textiles, metal liturgical objects, manuscripts and printed prayer books, portraits, woodcut and copperplate position, privileges, and other archival materials.
