Villages of the Pozega municipality

Pozega is located in a gentle valley between three rivers: Skrapez, Djetinja and Moravica, at an altitude of 311-900 meters. It is surrounded by mountain ranges of Ovcar, Kablar, and Maljen. In the vicinity are ancient digs of the Illyrian necropolis, the largest in Serbia.


Pozega has excellent conditions for the development of sports, hunting and fishing tourism, especially for tourism development in the countryside. The city has a hotel of "B" category, Olympic swimming pool, several sports courts and many other benefits.

Jezevica is located at an altitude of 600 meters. It is situated 18 km away from Divcibare, a known tourist center, as well as from Pozega. The village is characterized by preserved nature, countless streams with clean water, forests and lawns. Villagers are engaged in farming and fruit growing, and guest have the opportunity to help their hosts in preparing the food for the winter.

The offer is completed by the newly opened hotel with three stars ‘Jela – Ježevica’, which is located in the center of the village. Hotel offers comfortable accommodation, sports and recreation, entertainment and top quality dishes of national cuisine with a special menu of traditional specialty ‘Srpska sablja Knjaz Milos’.

Gornja Dobrinja is located 20 km from Pozega, at an altitude of 655 meters. The village is known for its history and natural beauties, among which are numerous streams, and many mills known since the age of Milan Obrenovic. Gornja Dobrinja is the birthplace of Prince Milos Obrenovic, to whome is dedicated a memorial complex and ‘Cardak’ There is an artistic colony organized in the village as well.

Roge is located at the altitude of 540 meters. It is located 15 km from Pozega. Through the village flows the river Rzav, one of our cleanest rivers, very suitable for fishing. The village is famous for its spa Roge, which according to tradition exists from the time of the Turks. The spa is very visited, and treats diseases of the joints, nerves, eyes, and chronic rheumatism. The guests have rooms available, and comfortable accommodation in the village.

Prilipac is located 6 km from Pozega. In the center of the village is the church from 1374, the endowment of Prince Lazar. In the courtyard of the church is a beautiful refectory in which art colony is organized every August.
