Villages of Cajetina municipality

Cajetina is located in the southwestern part of Serbia. Belongs to the hilly area of the mountains, and settlements are at an altitude of 600 to 1,000 m. Because of the moderate climate and preserved nature, Zlatibor has always been known as suitable for a mountain vacation, recovery and treatment. It is declared to be the first-class tourist destination.


The first houses and facilities for rest and treatment on Zlatibor were built in the last century, and the beginning of development of tourism on Zlatibor is in 1893, when King Aleksandar had visited this mountain. Tourist facilities in Zlatibor now have over 6000 beds in 2000 in hotels, resorts and local handcrafts.

Gostilje lies on the slopes of mountain Zlatibor, at an altitude of 840 m, 30 km from the tourist center of Zlatibor. It is surrounded by vast pastures, woods, streams and rivers. The main activity of local people is breeding cattle and fruit. Nature is very clean and unpolluted, and provides conditions for the production of organic food.

The surroundings of the village provides the ideal conditions for collecting medicinal plants, hunting and fishing, and special attraction is waterfall in the canyon of the river Katusnica.There is a possibility of trips and visits to Zlatibor ethno-village in Sirogojno and cane Stopic.
